Chops on Main proudly serves guests from one of the oldest buildings in Bulloch County. Originally a local business, Chops on Main is still carrying on the legacy of this historic building by supporting the economy and growth of Statesboro, Georgia. We are proud to support our farmers and our Downtown Farmers Market by offering fresh and local ingredients in our dishes. Our commitment is to carry on the legacy of those before us to support the growth of downtown and our community. Once a hardware store owned by Walter Harmon Aldred, Jr. who played an unprecedented role in the building and growth of Statesboro, Chops on Main was truly the dream of his visionary son W.H. “Skip” Aldred, III who began restoring the historic building known as Townview in the early 1980′s with the help of financing available from the Downtown Development Authority. Utilizing old Savannah Brick and Georgia Pine to honor the local heritage, Chops opened its doors in February of 2007 and continues to offer a beautiful, yet relaxed atmosphere with great food and outstanding service.
